GreenTensor Electromagnetic Library for Calculate Scattering on Multilayer Spherical Structures

This article discusses the GreenTensor library developed by a team of authors for calculating scattering of electromagnetic waves on inhomogeneous spherical bodies using Tensor Green Functions method. The calculation results obtained using the library are compared with the simulation results in the Ansys HFSS (finite e lement m ethod) software package. The article presents examples of using the library to solve typical diffraction problems, including problems with metallic spheres, Luneburg lenses, and cases with dielectric covering, demonstrating its wide range of applications in radio engineering. The article also provides instructions for installing and running the library for the first t ime u sing G it a nd the Python programming language. The project’s full source code is available in a GitHub repository, allowing readers to explore implementation details and contribute to the project if they wish. In addition, extensive documentation is being developed on the Read the Docs platform, which is available for additional information and usage guidance.
