Aging Characteristics and Lifespan Prediction of Composite Insulator SIR Under Multi-Haze Environment in Coastal Area

Composite insulators are currently widely used in power grids around the world due to their excellent performance. However, the insulation performance of composite insulators is greatly affected by exposure time and environment. At present, the existing discrimination methods for the aging of composite insulators are often based on the data of composite insulators in normal environment, so the aging discrimination of composite insulators under special climatic conditions is often not universal. In this paper, the running composite insulators in a coastal city in China hit by haze are tested and analyzed, and the sample insulators are tested by FTIR test, Water Diffusion test, and TGA test respectively. In this paper, the discrimination conditions of silicone rubber aging of composite insulators under multi-haze environment in coastal areas are determined, and the corresponding discriminant parameters are obtained, which provides a reference for the intelligent detection method of aging state of composite insulators under multi-haze environment. At the end of the paper, the BP neural network is used to predict the service life of composite insulators in coastal areas under multi-haze environment. It is proved that the prediction error is less than 5%, which is in line with the actual standard of the project.
