Testing Method for Full-Space Phased Array Telemetry and Control System Indices Based on Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Platform

This paper proposes an automated testing method for a phased array telemetry and control system index based on an unmanned aerial vehicle (VAV) platform, specifically for a hemispherical conformal full-space phased array antenna. After determining the beam coverage, VAV traversal points are designed, and then the receive quality factor (G/T value) and equivalent isotropically radiated power (EIRP value) of the full-space phased array telemetry and control system are tested respectively. The advantages of this automated testing method include: no need for complex infrastructure, making it suitable for field testing needs, reducing testing costs; achieving automated testing of the full-space phased array telemetry and control system index, simplifying the operation process compared to traditional schemes, reducing testing difficulty, and improving testing efficiency and accuracy; and by controlling the VAV flight trajectory, the phased array system index can be automatically tested. Finally, the test results are stored according to the beam pointing angle, preparing for subsequent experimental tasks.
