Energy Model for Solar Thermal Collectors System

Renewable energy sources are constantly gaining in importance. This has been particularly noticed over the last two decades. This was caused by the increasingly visible depletion of fossil fuel resources and the tightening of EU directives specifying the share of renewable energy sources in the total energy balance of member states. The use of renewable energy sources makes it possible to minimize the impact of secondary waste on the environment and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Diversification of energy supplies through the use of renewable energy sources ensures compliance with the principles of sustainable development. The ever-growing interest in RES necessitates the integration and proper control of systems powered by renewable energy sources. This necessitates the development of a method that will enable forecasting the amount of energy yield from solar energy installations. The paper presents an introduction to the development of a method for predicting energy yield from systems powered by solar collectors, which can be used in existing installations. The scope of the research will include the analysis of energy yields and meteorological data, such as sunlight, wind speed and humidity.
