Analytical Versus Numerical Approach to the Analysis of the Wireless Power Transmitter Human Exposure Over Real Ground

The paper deals with a comparison of proposed analytical and standard numerical approaches to study the human exposure to fields radiated from vertically positioned electrically short antenna above a ground. The human is modelled as homogeneous cylinder at resonant and non-resonant frequency. The influence of the earth-air interface in the case of real ground is considered via the reflection coefficients. The Pocklington equation is solved analytically via the method of variation constants. The related reflected field is determined by evaluating field integrals. New analytical approach involves the use of the approximate sinusoidal current distribution and analytical evaluation of field integrals. The study showed acceptable agreement between these approaches.
