Scalable Multi Input Multi Output (MIMO) DC-DC buck converter

This paper explores the design and implementation of a multi-stage multi-input multi-output (MIMO) DCDC converter leveraging the buck converter topology, which is celebrated for its simplicity, high efficiency, and straightforward implementation. As an increasing number of homeowners adopt alternative energy sources, there arises a critical need for power conversion systems that are both efficient and flexible enough to manage complex energy demands. The proposed approach aims to integrate multiple power sources and convert them into various desired voltage outputs, thereby optimizing the utilization of available resources. Comprehensive simulations were conducted across a range of configurations, including single-input single-output, multi-input single-output, single-input multi-output, and multi-input multi-output synchronous buck converters. The results confirm the effectiveness and adaptability of the proposed method, underscoring its potential for further research and practical applications in the fields of power electronics and alternative energy systems.
