Research on XR Standard and Key Technologies

abstract-5G is a key infrastructure for digital transformation of economy and society. Extended reality (XR) is a hot area of concern at home and abroad. This paper aims to discuss the key technical capabilities that 5G networks should have for XR, which is a large bandwidth and high real-time service, in order to promote the in-depth integration of XR and 5G, and to realize the immersive new experience of virtual-reality interaction at any time and any place. Firstly, the XR technology standard evolution is introduced. Next, the new requirements of 5 G networks for this type of large bandwidth real-time service are discussed. Then, the basic network architecture of XR is discussed. Finally, several typical XR key technologies are described.
