Analysis of Coverage Improvement in High-speed Rail Scenarios

With the continuous development of 5G network technology, its application fields are becoming more and more extensive. As high-speed rail is one of the mainstream modes of transportation nowadays, it is a crucial issue whether it can provide passengers with a satisfactory internet experience. Due to the high-speed movement of high-speed trains and the discontinuity of network coverage in high-speed rail scenarios, users may experience frequent switching and even disconnection within the network. The network experience of high-speed rail users may be significantly affected. In this paper, we analyze the pain points of current high-speed rail scene network coverage and propose a solution using carrier aggregation (CA) double-layer networks. Further, we conduct test verification in actual commercial networks, analyze the data, and draw conclusions.
