Simulation of wind flow effect on the cooling of solar panels (in Tehran)

Solar energy is one of the most favorable renewable energy sources, so investigating the factors affecting the efficiency of solar panels is important. In this paper, the effect of natural wind flow on the cooling of solar panels in the region is studied. Three conditions without wind, wind at a speed of 5 m.s
^-1
, and wind at a speed of 10 m.s
^-1
are simulated using PVsyst software. The effect of cooling on the power output, performance ratio, return on investment, and carbon emissions prevention of solar panels is explored in this paper. According to the results obtained from the simulation, heat loss at maximum wind speed is 9% less than when there is no wind flow.
