A Quadratic Based High Voltage Gain Converter Using Coupled Inductors and Switched Capacitor

In this article, an ultra-high step-up quadratic converter with continuous input current is proposed. Using the coupled inductors and switch capacitors, the converter voltage gain is improved significantly. This converter adds no switch and magnetic core to the basic quadratic structure. A passive clamp circuit absorbs the leakage inductance energy of the coupled inductor and recycles to the output. Also, the reverse recovery issue of most diodes is solved. Furthermore, the converter enjoys from common ground. The presented structure operation and analysis are presented, and the converter is simulated in PSpice software. Loss breakdown analysis is performed which shows 95.3% efficiency at 200 W. Also, to show the converter advantages, this converter is compared with several counterparts.
