Research on Background Privacy Protection Algorithm Based on Image Fogging

A privacy protection algorithm based on image fogging is proposed to address the limitations of traditional background encryption and obscuration methods for images. Firstly, depth information is extracted from two-dimensional images through depth estimation. Secondly, using depth distance information and combining maximum visibility with atmospheric scattering coefficients, transparency transformation is achieved. Finally, the background is fogged beyond a certain distance range. Experimental results demonstrate that our proposed algorithm not only ensures the protection of background privacy but also maintains image quality, fundamentally addressing the background protection issues related to information security and privacy.
