Railway Station Train Scheduling Based on Supervisory Control of DES

In light of the increasing complexity and size of railway systems, the safety and efficiency of railway station operations have emerged as a substantial concern. This study presents a methodology for platform scheduling protection, with the primary aim of reducing collision accidents. Drawing on supervisory control theory, we abstractly model multi-platform stations by applying a presented modular modeling method. A synthesized supervisor prevents collision accidents by disabling certain controllable events. Our methodology identifies all scheduling solutions that prioritize safety and meet user requirements, without distinguishing individual trains. This contribution significantly enhances safety and performance within railway stations in contemporary transportation networks.
