Examining the Influence of Interactive Augmented Reality on Textbooks in Geography Education: A Research Paper Investigating Road Construction & Banning with 21st Century Pedagogy

This study addresses the decline in geography education interest by exploring the effectiveness of an AR Interactive Learning Geography textbook. We conducted a pilot study utilizing questionnaires and interviews to gather data on student engagement and perceptions. Findings revealed a strong preference for AR technology, with 80% of students expressing interest. Additionally, urban traffic safety emerged as a pressing issue. Our approach combined the Waterfall software development process with mixed-methods research. We reviewed literature to inform our methodology and analyzed data using thematic analysis. The pilot study findings underscore the potential of AR technology to enhance student engagement and understanding in geography education. In conclusion, this research highlights the importance of innovative approaches to reinvigorate geography education and address real-world challenges.
