Study on the Webpage properties and prediction using Google.

Use of a search engine became sustenance for knowledge and information. Today the user depends on a few search engines as they deliver most favourable results. People browse few top cited link information, from 20 to 30 links delivered and opt out in case they are not able to get the relevant information. A search engine gets a few query terms as input, does computations and retrieves thousands of web pages. To manage this mega result link set, every search engine uses some ranking criterion. PageRank is one of the most popularly ranking algorithms used in Google and applied beyond its original scope and implemented in ranking several domains. With the ever growing amount of information and usage of computers, internet is rapidly expanding; and hence the results need not be the same with time. The link structure is a basis of such computation and this process motivates to understand the properties of web pages. Web page properties of these resulted set are studied earlier but detailed work was not carried for forecasting a web page and its probable rank using PageRank/Google. We developed a new method and results in contemplating the rank of the web page popped in top 30 web page links.
