Error Analysis of Multi-Pair Two-Way Relaying Scheme

The growing demand on high data rates dictates the exploitation of higher frequency bands such as Millimeter-wave (mmWave) band. However, mmWave signals are vulnerable to attenuation and obstacles, necessitating advanced techniques such as beamforming and relaying to improve the system performance. Two-way relaying (TWR) is among the promising relaying approaches that significantly enhance the spectral efficiency. This paper investigates an mmWave-based multi-pair TWR scheme, where multiple node pairs communicate with the assistance of a single decode-and-forward relay over the mmWave band and using the TWR approach. The primary focus is on addressing interference from neighboring nodes within the mmWave spectrum, utilizing highly directional antennas. An error analysis is conducted to assess the system's performance in the presence of interference.
