Professional development of students is a process of development of self-awareness, including self-improvement of professionally important personality traits, self-education, as well as the formation of a value-motivational attitude towards a future profession. The latter presupposes not only receiving appropriate professional training, but also accepting the foundations of a humanistic worldview. One of the disciplines that contributes to the formation of the ethical competence of an engineer is the discipline “Fundamentals of Economics”.
