Incorporation of an SMT Line in Electronics Engineering Education

This work details integrating an Surface Mount Technology line in the course “Production and Manufacturing Technology” of the Industrial Electronics and Automation Engineering Degree. It describes the process of incorporating the essential equipment: semi-automatic solder paste printing, pick & place, and reflow oven. The impact of this integration on students' hands-on learning is analyzed, highlighting how direct experience with advanced technology enriches their theoretical understanding and practical skills in electronics manufacturing.
