Motivating Students in Basic Electronics Through Challenge-Based Learning

In order to improve the motivation of computer science students in learning electronics, an intensive hybrid programme has been developed within the Erasmus+ framework entitled DIG-SENSING, whose main objective is to address real socio-environmental problems through the design of electronic circuits and the programming of microcontrollers. After preparatory training, which included seminars on microcontrollers, Arduino development environment, sensors and actuators, and communication technologies, participants have prepared proposals to solve the challenges posed. Working together in international teams, students were able to implement them successfully, after a week of work.
