WSAN ZigBee Demonstrator Based on Commercial Home Automation Devices and Development Platforms

This paper proposes the deployment of a ZigBee wireless sensor and actuator network (WSAN) with IoT connectivity, composed of both commercial home automation devices and development platforms for microcontrollers and microprocessors. The goal is to create a demonstrator that illustrates how ZigBee technology works, as well as the implementation of applications using the aforementioned platforms and their corresponding development tools. The demonstrator allows the interaction between the firmware developed by the students and the commercial home automation devices integrated into it, enabling the implementation of custom applications.
