Implementation of Delay Retransmission Algorithm for WSN Neighbor Detection Conflict Avoidance

In Wireless Sensor Network communication, in order to realize network topology control and point-to-point communication, it is necessary to find out the identity of neighbor nodes. WSN works at a low duty cycle and there is a communication channel congestion conflict when multiple neighbors are detected at the same time. In this study, the WSN communication method of time-delayed retransmission neighbor discovery is adopted, the neighbor node is discovered by three-way handshake, and the binary delay mechanism is adopted to avoid communication collisions. First, the master node sends the broadcast packet, containing the identity of the master node itself. Then, the neighbor node gets the broadcast packet, adds its own identity, and sends the response packet to the master node by avoiding the delay. When the master node obtains the response packet of the neighbor node, it obtains the identity of the neighbor node and sends the confirmation packet to the neighbor node. The algorithm comes into force on WSN hardware, and the neighbor discovery is completed and the point-to-point communication to the specified neighbor is successfully realized.
