The influence of Parylene-C coating on the performance of printed and LIG heaters

In recent years, the advancement of printed electronics has spurred the development of heating elements on flexible substrates, offering efficient and customizable heating solutions for various applications. This study explores the performance of heaters fabricated through screen printing of silver nanoparticles and laser-induced graphene techniques. The results reveal differences in heating behavior and reliability under accelerated life testing. Additionally, Parylene C coating enhances the durability, with coated heaters exhibiting a stable performance compared to uncoated counterparts. These findings contribute insights into optimizing design and coating strategies, advancing the applicability of printed heaters in diverse industrial settings.
