Differential Thermal Voltammetry for State-of-Health (SOH) Estimation of Li-Ion Batteries

The estimation of the state-of-health (SOH) of Li-ion batteries is crucial to ensure reliable and safe operation and optimization of battery performance and lifespan. New, low-cost, and easily implementable approaches are required to increase the estimation accuracy of SOH. This paper presents an application of differential thermal voltammetry (DTV) as a perspective approach for SOH estimation for NCA (LiNiCoAlO
2
) Li-ion batteries. Different C-rate charging and discharging conditions are analyzed to evaluate the sensibility and applicability of DTV for SOH estimation.
