3-axis Accelerometer IMU in Various Degrees of Freedom Multi-switch Button Array

The subject of the contribution is the analysis of the multimodal 3-axis accelerometer inertial unit in the sensing element function for a contactless switching component or its array. A linear model utilizing the dynamic acceleration and an 8-element inclination model utilizing the static acceleration were implemented. Incorporating an appropriate mechanical assembly, enables reliable recognition of individual states and resistance to interference and false detections. The purpose of the effort is to unfold the Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) application potential in terms of its robustness, reliability, and applicability for a contactless switch array.
