Automatic Weighing and Analysis System for Broiler Chickens Based on Mean-Shift Clustering Analysis

Average weight and weight uniformity are important indicators for evaluating the growth performance of broiler chickens. Currently, the assessment of average weight typically relies on manual weighing, which can stress the chickens, reduce their weight gain efficiency, and make regular manual weighing of the chickens a time-consuming and laborious task. To achieve automatic collection of chicken weights and accurately evaluate the average weight and uniformity of the chickens, this study designed an automatic weighing and analysis system for broilers based on weighing algorithms and Mean-Shift clustering analysis. The system comprises an automatic weighing module, a chicken weight monitoring and analysis system, and a supervisory control program. Through testing in an actual chicken farm and comparing the final production and sales data, the feasibility of the system was verified.
