Adaptive Channel Aware Scheduler for 5th Generation Networks

The 5G technology has introduced a new era of connectivity, offering new opportunities for diverse applications ranging from Enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB) to Ultra-Reliable Low Latency Communications (uRLLC) and Mas-sive Machine Type Communication (mMTC). In this paper, we proposed a novel 5G New Radio (NR) scheduler that is customized to fulfil the need of enhanced mobile broadband (eMBB) applications with guaranteed connectivity to the end user. Through our research, we explored the solutions to ensure that high-speed broadband services can work well in 5G network with guaranteed data to the cell edge user. We have proposed a novel 5G network scheduler which contributes towards increase in the overall throughput and good put as compared to the existing Round Robin, Best CQI and PF scheduler. We employed throughput, good put, and spectral efficiency as our primary evaluation metrics. Our findings contribute to the improvement in 5G scheduling, making it better suited for enhancing throughput and spectral efficiency.
