An Improved Modulation Recognition Method Based on Cumulative Distribution Function for PSK Signals

The paper presents an improved modulation recognition algorithm for PSK signals based on cumulative distribution function. The tangent value is used instead of the phase angle to calculate the cumulative distribution function, that avoids all the inverse tangent operations in the modulation recognition, and reduces the computational complexity. Simulation results show that the proposed method can reduce the computational complexity without reducing the recognition efficiency.
