Preserving Order Encryption Algorithm for Cloud-Assisted Data

Range query in searchable encryption schemes is a crucial and challenging task. The prevalent approach for such queries often involves using order-preserving encryption, which, unfortunately, tends to exhibit lower efficiency. Addressing this issue, this paper proposes an order-preserving encryption method based on the concept of bucketing. This approach optimizes the search process while maintaining data security, introducing a more efficient methodology for performing range queries. It is particularly suitable for resource-constrained IoT devices. This method introduces new possibilities in searchable encryption, offering a feasible and efficient solution for secure data processing in IoT devices.
