Design of Substrate Integrated Waveguide Antenna for Liquid Sensing

The design of a SIW antenna for chemical sensing applications is examined in this paper. It is suggested to use a microfluidic channel in a SMSIW antenna to build an affordable, non-destructive chemical sensor. The fluctuation of the proposed antenna's resonant frequency response is used to assess the chemical composition of the (LUT). As the detecting principle, resonance perturbation causes a change in the frequency of resonance in response to changes in the LUT's dielectric properties. Depending on the chemical composition of the liquid, the frequency at which the antenna resonates can range from 5.500 GHz to 5.110 GHz. Researchers are looking into the relationship between variations in the liquid's relative permittivity and changes in the antenna's resonant frequency. The purpose of this investigation is to evaluate the suggested antenna's suitability as a microwave sensor.
