A Cableway Hydrology Data Transmission System Based on Embedded Techniques

Automatic control testing systems for cableways have been installed at most cableway hydrology stations in Xijiang River Valley and many other parts of China. Consequently, how to accurately transmit signals and obtain data is a challenging problem. It is also crucial for influencing the intelligent collection, processing, and prediction of water resource information. Given this background, in this paper, a cable hydrology data transmission system based on embedded techniques is designed. We use dual-tone multiple frequencies to transmit the signal. Besides, cable rope circuits and water bodies are aimed to form the transmission circuit. Based on analytical designs and field applications, the proposed system can reliably transmit data simply and conveniently, and without any additional equipment. This study not only innovates in theoretical design but also has already produced promising effects in the practical cableway hydrology data transmission.
