Multi-factor Secure Unified Authentication for Wireless Sensor Networks: An Enterprise Solution

Ensuring the security and integrity of sensor data is critical in enterprise-level IoT deployments. Thus, we propose a multi-factor authentication architecture integrating symmetric encryption, asymmetric encryption, and hash functions to enhance the security of IoT sensors in this article. We researched how to fuse these different security mechanisms into a unified framework, taking into account the resource-constrained IoT devices and the dynamics of network environments. By implementing this architecture, the strength of device authentication and session security is enhanced through a pseudo-random number generator. The results provide a basis for the unified access and performance evaluation using the proposed multi-factor authentication architecture for enterprise-level applications.
