Demand Response Strategy Analysis for Load Aggregators with Diverse Electric Vehicle Users

With the growth of electric vehicle market share, its charging behavior has an increasingly significant impact on the grid load, so orderly charging has become a common goal for grid operators and electric vehicle aggregators. This paper first distinguishes the different types of users participating in the demand response market, and designs the corresponding price subsidy mechanism according to the different participation types. By considering the sensitivity of electric vehicle users to subsidized price and the cost-effectiveness of distribution network side and user side, taking the maximization of social benefit as the objective function, the price subsidy of electric vehicle users participating in demand response at the grid side is calculated and analyzed. The effect of subsidized price on user participation is demonstrated through a numerical example, which provides some reference for setting reasonable price subsidies. The example also shows that the classified incentive for users to participate in the demand response market can effectively mobilize the enthusiasm of electric vehicle users, while improving the operating efficiency of the distribution network side and reducing the operating cost.
