Email Spam Classification and Detection using Various Machine Learning Classifiers

In today’s world, most of the day-to-day information sharing and communication takes place via most of the communication media, and one of the famous communication channels is via emails. As per the data an average office worker receives around 121 emails every workday. So, classification of these mails by an individual is very difficult, because of this we need an automated system that classifies any mails (new/old) mails to spam and no spam as to stay away from any attacks via spam mails. Machine Learning approaches are widely used in spam filtering and it’s an efficient approach towards filtering uninvited mails. In this paper, The performance analysis for 7 of the most famous ML approaches for spam filtering. The comparison is highlighted using accuracy and precision.
