Hybrid Open Points Planning with Dynamic Capacity Enhancement and Voltage Quality Improvement

To cope with future load growth and achieve dynamic capacity increase and flexible power regulation of the channel, this paper designs a hybrid open point (HOP) with flexible structure and variable control modes, and proposes an HOP planning method that considers the synergy of dynamic capacity increase and voltage quality improvement. Firstly, a mathematical model of the HOP planning problem is established, then a linear power flow equation is developed based on it. Finally, the test results of the IEEE 33-node system demonstrate that the HOP is able to cope with the dynamic capacity increase demand of the channel, improve the voltage quality and optimize the operating conditions of the distribution network.
