Impact Analysis of Current Control Loop on System Oscillation Characteristics for PMSG Wind Farms Connected to Weak Grids

This paper compares the system oscillation characteristics under strong and weak grid conditions with PMSG using open-loop control and current closed-loop control. By employing dynamic frequency impedance scanning methods, the damping characteristics of the PMSG system under different controls are analyzed, clarifying the impact of the open-loop control and the current close-loop control on system impedance characteristics, as well as their interactive oscillation effects with strong and weak grids. Subsequently, electromagnetic transient simulation is utilized to simulate the time-domain performance behavior of the PMSG system under different controls, thereby verifying the influence of the current control loop on the system's oscillation characteristics.
