Research and Design of High-Current Transmission Technology Based on Adaptive Impedance Matching

With the increasing demand for applications such as groundwater exploration, underground mineral resource exploration, and non-destructive investigation of cultural relics, electrical prospecting has emerged as a primary technique for precise detection in underground spaces due to its advantage of ‘non-destructive detection.’ To enhance the transmission power of the high-frequency transmitter, this paper proposes a high-current transmission technology based on adaptive impedance matching, comprising resonant capacitors, controllable reactor, high-frequency transformers, and corresponding control circuits. According to the principles of RLC series resonance, the circuit impedance is reduced through controllable reactor and resonant capacitors. Additionally, high-frequency transformers are employed to further increase the transmission voltage, effectively boosting the transmission current. On the basis of the analysis, a prototype was developed and tested, demonstrating an increase in transmission current at multiple frequencies within the range of 10-120 kHz, with a peak active power reaching 190W. Under the same transmission voltage, compared to the transmission circuit without impedance matching, the maximum enhancement of the transmission current increased by 16.7 times, with an average increase of 10.8 times. Compared to the transmission circuit using only traditional impedance matching, the maximum enhancement of the transmission current increased by 10.0 times, with an average increase of 4.2 times. This effectively improves the resolution of exploration.
