Skywatch: UAV-Based Suspicious Activity Analysis through Image Processing

In contemporary times, video surveillance has become ubiquitous in security. The conventional approach to camera surveillance necessitates ongoing human involvement. The identification of potentially illicit behaviors in public spaces has emerged as a crucial undertaking in light of the escalating occurrences of shootings, knife assaults, acts of terrorism, and similar incidents transpiring in public venues across the globe. This study examines the utilization of visual monitoring applications, such as video surveillance, for crime detection and prevention. It emphasizes the necessity of reliable and efficient monitoring to decrease heinous crimes. Delayed communication and inadequate security mechanisms are factors that contribute to criminal activity. The study presents a novel Intelligent Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) that continuously observes its environment for any potentially suspicious or unlawful actions, promptly notifying administrators upon detection of such incidents. The uncrewed aerial vehicle (UAV) seeks to observe its environment with less human involvement, thereby tackling the unfortunate problem of hit-and-run incidents in India.
