Research on Voice Traffic Transmitted Over an IP Network Based on IP PBX Asterisk under the Use of Various Codecs and Cryptosystems

The prevalence of vulnerabilities in telephone networks necessitates the investigation and development of advanced security measures for IP telephony systems. This research focuses on analyzing and enhancing the security of data transmission in Asterisk-based IP telephony systems. We propose a method that combines voice-to-text transcription using the Python Speech Recognition library with the RSA and EI-Gamal asymmetric cryptosystems for encryption and decryption. The study evaluates the time parameters of these cryptosystems to ensure the security of transmitted information. The findings can be applied to optimize secure data transmission for various types of information, including confidential defense-related data and sensitive business information.
