Real-Time IoT System for Monitoring of Indoor Comfort and Health in Office Buildings

The paper presents a new model of real-time smart IoT system which is dedicated to monitoring both indoor comfort and health in office buildings. The developed model uses an Arduino development board as well as multiple sensors and can be extended or customized according to the user needs. The system has been preliminary tested, on a 14-days period (03/11/2024-03/25/2024) in one office space and has registered the meteorological parameters (temperature, humidity) and other several pollutants concentrations. These have proved to mostly fall in the recommended intervals envisaging a suitable working environment for the office space occupants.
