Investigating the Challenges of Monitoring Open-Pit Mining Slope Conditions for the Safe Operation of Earthmoving and Construction Machinery

This paper explores the issue of monitoring the condition of quarry slopes, which is critical for ensuring the safety of earth-moving and construction machinery operations. It summarizes the factors affecting the slope condition and the circumstances under which hazards arise. The existing monitoring methods and their capabilities in addressing the issue were analyzed. The main technologies used for slope condition monitoring were examined. The conclusion highlights the need for developing an integrated monitoring system utilizing drones, which will allow for prompt response to changes in the slope condition and ensure the safety of earthmoving and construction machinery operations.
