The Role of Environmental Non-Governmental Organizations in Achieving Energy Efficiency

This report analyses and highlights the main benefits of the activities of environmental non-governmental organisations in the direction of achieving energy efficiency. A case study of a specific ecological non-governmental organisation - a leader in the integration of innovations and solutions for energy efficiency, and with many years of experience and participation in the development of international policies in the field of sustainable consumption of resources - has been examined. Based on the specific activities and functions of the research object, the significant role of the non-profit legal entity sector in the energy transition process and global environmental protection policies has been identified. Part of their role includes collecting, analysing, and disseminating information, providing data and services, and assessing and monitoring environmental agreements. The main conclusions can serve to multiply the effects or avoid the risks on the part of regional and national non-profit organisations in their participation in the development of local policies in the field of energy independence and environmental protection.
