Potential Use of the Vibroacoustic Analysis of an Engine in the Analysis of Exhaust Gases Composition

The paper presents the vibration of an engine powered by various fuels in the emission function. There is extensive literature on emissivity research results, yet no analysis on the results of the degree to which vibroacoustic vibration generated by the engine may generate diagnostic information on exhaust emission composition has been discussed so far. As it was shown, the vibroacoustic characteristics analysis differs for various fuels mixtures, new additional harmonics appear and the values of dominant harmonics change. Proving the similarity between vibration characteristics, based on the fast Fourier transform filter, and exhaust emission composition may pave an entirely new diagnostic path.
