Model for Thermal Studies of Automotive Engine Cylinder Heads

The present paper delves into the process of developing a model for thermal studies of cylinder heads through the use of SolidWorks software environment. Described is the method for constructing a finite element mesh, along with the methodology for determining unknown boundary conditions, by analyzing the collected experimental data regarding the cylinder head temperatures. To validate the model’s accuracy, a comparison is conducted between the temperature values, collected at specific points, acquired through experimentation, and generated by the thermal model hereto proposed.
