A Low-Complexity Harmonic Technique for RF Power Amplifiers

This paper proposes a polynomial solution for injected signal (PSIS) model in the baseband domain, which is derived from the analysis of harmonic characterization with cancellation for a high-frequency (HF) power amplifier (PA) based on the multi-input radio-frequency (RF) PA behaviour model. In this model, vector decomposition is used for simplification to reduce computational complexity. Compared to traditional baseband HC models, PSIS not only eliminates the need for iteration while maintaining performance, but also reduces the number of feedback channels, thereby reducing system complexity. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed approach can suppress harmonics below −54 dB below carrier (dBc).
