Maneuvering Target Tracking Algorithm Across Detection Blind Spots

In pursuit of tracking multiple maneuvering targets efficiently, radar systems must ensure consistent tracking. Ground-based radar systems encounter challenges, particularly when maneuvering multi-targets exhibit radial velocities below the minimum detectable threshold, leading to their ingress into detection blind spots. Such occurrences result in data loss, significantly impeding subsequent command decisions. To address this issue, we propose a maneuvering multi-target tracking algorithm, which is called cross-detection blind spots maneuvering target tracking algorithm. This algorithm integrates the interacting multiple model-unscented Kalman filter (IMM-UKF) algorithm into the global nearest neighbor tracking framework, which can complete the tracking maneuvering multi-targets across blind spots. Simulation results demonstrate that the algorithm has higher accuracy and efficiency than the traditional methods in maneuvering multi-target tracking.
