Standardized Design Method of Main Circulation Frame for Offshore Platform Cooling Systems*

In this paper, we present a standardized design procedure of main circulation frame for offshore platform cooling systems. Offshore platform converter valve cooling system uses seawater circulation cooling cycle of the two-cycle cooling mode. The cooling of the seawater circulation cooling system uses the seawater plate heat exchanger to take away the cooling device cycle heat. Due to the offshore construction projects on the cooling amount of demand becomes larger, and gradually used seawater cycle fresh water cycle cooling cycle is a three-cycle cooling mode, the three cycles are internal circulation cooling system, fresh water cycle and seawater cycle. Internal circulation cooling system cooling medium for deionized water. Then, the system is directly strung into the converter valve, transformer heat exchanger to absorb its heat dissipation. Fresh water circulation cooling system cooling medium uses the fresh water plate heat exchanger to take away the internal circulation cooling system heat. Seawater circulation cooling system cooling medium for seawater uses the seawater plate heat exchanger to take away the freshwater cycle heat. With the change of cooling method, the structure configuration and control system of the whole cooling system are also optimized to provide a safe and stable cooling environment for the normal operation of the offshore HVDC platform.
