A Comparative Study of Robust Control Strategies for Quadrotors UAVs

In this paper., we explore the control of drones using robust control strategies. We begin by employing the Proportional-Derivative controller., then transition to the sliding mode control., and finally introduce the scalar sign function within the sliding mode control. The application of the scalar sign function in the sliding mode control has resulted in substantial improvements in error reduction when compared to systems utilizing Proportional-Derivative controllers and classical sliding mode controllers. This innovative approach proves highly effective in enhancing overall system stability and minimizing errors in the drone's attitude.
