Braking System Improvement Applying Eddy Current Braking system

In this project, the effects of two parameters, wheel disc material and initial angular velocity, on the eddy current braking system are investigated. The experiment is performed by setting the initial velocities at 700,900, and 1500 rpm for both copper and aluminum alloys. The results illustrate that higher initial angular velocity increases the effectiveness of the braking process. Moreover, at the same condition, the Aluminum disc gives improved results compared to the Copper disc.
