Robust Tracking Control for A Type of Combined Spacecraft: A Discrete-Time FAS Approach

In this paper, the robust tracking control of a combined spacecraft simulator (CSS) system is investigated based on the discrete-time fully actuated system (FAS) approach. Firstly, the CSS system is modeled as a discrete-time uncertain second-order FAS model and generalized to general discrete-time high-order fully actuated systems (HOFASs) with nonlinear uncertainties. Secondly, for the proposed tracking control problem, a sufficient condition to solve it is given by designing a discrete-time HOFA robust controller, followed by a stability analysis. Further, the designed controller generates a closed-loop system with an arbitrary assignable eigenstructure in which the design degrees of freedom can be exploited further. Finally, the proposed control technique is used to solve the robust tracking control of CSS, and the simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness and practicality of the proposed method.
