Design of a Dual-stator Generator for a Portable Hand Crank Generating system

Portable hand crank generating system can provide electricity for charging electrical devices in many areas that lacks power supply or during interruptions in electricity supply due to natural disasters. This paper investigates the high power density characteristics of dual-stator motor principles and a dual-stator portable hand brank generator is designed. The generator operates at a lower speed for the same output power, with a 1:5 single-stage gear transmission capable of delivering 60 W of power.
