A Magneto-electric Dipole Antenna Array For Satellite Communication

a planar ME-dipole antenna array with a sequential phase feeding network is proposed. The antenna array has a bandwidth of 22% from 26.3 GHz to 32.7 GHz with a peak gain of 10.1 dBi. The feeding network is sequentially phased with a quadrature phase shift. The antenna array yields the advantages of small size, wide axial ratio beamwidth, low cost and stable gain. The proposed antenna array is used for satellite communications to cover the 27.5-31 GHz frequency band.
